Palacký University

Cooperation

International coorporation

Internationalization is an integral part of the policies of Palacký University and of the Faculty of Arts.
At present, Palacký University has established substantial academic and institutional collaborations with more than sixty universities all over the world, please see the list of this type of agreements below. The goals of collaboration are to promote faculty and student exchange, to organize scholarly visits, to participate in common international conferences and to assist in joint research projects.
The most popular exchange programme for both Czech and international students is the Erasmus programme. Palacký University joined the programme in 1997 and since then the Faculty of Arts has established about 300 long-term partnerships within this programme, with twenty-two European countries (and 150 universities, please see the list of erasmus agreements below). The faculty is open to establishing new cooperation in all fields. The amount of students taking advantage of mobility opportunities within the Erasmus pro¬gramme was increasing in the first decade of 21st century and has been stable within the last few years, with roughly 250 outgoing students per year.
Reciprocally, there has been an increasing interest from internati¬onal students in studies at the Faculty of Arts. Within the Erasmus programme there were over one hundred students coming for exchange study every year. Furthermore, other international students study at the Faculty of Arts for full bachelor and master degrees; most of them coming from Slovakia.
