Sports facilities
Palacký University offers its facilities and services for sports and re-creation to students, academic and non-academic staff, and also to external public. There is a wide choice to offer: open space sports grounds as well as the large Sports Hall with facilities for training and championships of volleyball, basketball and handball. The Sports Hall is used for re-creational sports activities, sports education and for organization of international matches and for sports events on the European and world level. The university Boathouse is open up to students interested in rowing on the river Morava. The Olomouc Canoeing Club ranks among the best in the republic.
Academic Sport Centre
Programmes for leisure time sports activities of students and academics are organized by the Academic Sport Centre of Palacký University, situated in the Boathouse building. The centre frames, organizes and offers various outdoor and indoor activities in Olomouc, and also re-creations such as winter skiing courses in the mountains or boating tours in summer.

Sports Hall and Boathouse
Sports Hall, together with a complex of outside sport fields and a boathouse serve mainly for students of Palacký University and championships of the Palacký University Sports Club. During free times, especially from June till September, the Sports Hall is available for various sports events and cultural performances. With its equipment the Sports Hall meets all criteria for peak sports on the international level. The pitch meets the requirements of the international federations of volleyball, basketball and handball on the olympic level according to the DIN certificate. There are two separate pitches available in the Sports Hall, to be used for tournaments, workshops, organization of international matches and for sports activities on the European and world level.

City Sports Facilities
Olomouc offers a wide range of sporting and recreational opportunities. Omega, the largest of these facilities, boasts tennis and squash courts, a bowling alley, workout and wellness facilities. Information about specific sporting facilities are available at the city information site.
