Study facilities

Students have access to books, serials and periodicals in the Central University Library (Biskupské nám.), in the library of the British Centre and at individual departmental reference libraries. During the academic year the Central Library is open Mo-Thu 8-22, Fri 8-19, Sat 9-16.  It also provides computer rooms with Internet access and word-processing software. To register in the Palacký University library network, students need to arange a Palacky University student ID.

During the orientation week students are instructed how to apply for a university ID (a fee of 200 Kč and a photo are required, the card has an international validity – ISIC), are registered in STAG (university information system) and assigned a portal and personal ID in order to have an access to the University’s Internet network.
